Wedding 5 - In the countrythe country wedding of zoe and jamesThe proposal: The couple were staying at the Sunshine Coast over Christmas and for breakfast James served up not only breakfast in bed, but an engagement ring and proposed. ![]() the ceremonyThe simple ceremony was held at Zoe’s grandparents old English cottage rose garden, ‘Tea for Two’ as Zoe and James wanted their guests to step back in time to the garden parties of the 1920’s and to the era’s vintage glamour. To compliment this they chose a colour scheme of earthy tone greens, browns, ivory and a splash of purple. the receptionOn the deck of The Vue Restaurant and Bar, guests were treated to music from The Caxton Street Jazz Band and an outstanding meal which included a tasting platter of six desserts for each guest. Instead of traditional bonbonnieres each guest received a tea and saucer set filled with tea and biscuits ‘Tea for One’ inspired by the gardens. ![]() ![]() ![]() the gown/suitsInstead of traditional white Zoe wore a 1920’s slimline pale green and cafe late lace design created by Kathy Bensted from Commotion Fashions. Kathy also created the individual bridesmaid dresses with Zoe hand making the girls and her own fascinators. James and his groomsmen wore chocolate brown pinstripe suits from Formal Wear Express who delivered and picked up all the suits. ![]() ![]() the flowersZoe chose Gladioli’s with her Grandma making all the bouquets and button holes even after arriving at the markets to find that they had mixed up my order. ![]() the cakeThe Cake was a traditional three tier fruit cake which Zoe’s Grandma made and her mother iced and decorated. ![]() ![]() ![]() the photographerZoe and James were so proud and excited to have Shaun Murray as our wedding photographer. He was very professional and made the whole process very relaxing, even James survived. Everyone loved the slideshow of the day’s photos and was still talking about it for weeks after. It was just magical. |
